A Hilarious Conversation

My Canadian student who is learning Chinese now told me this funny conversation.

We pronounce the word "want" as yao and "have" as yo, he/him as ta and you as ni.

When a guy asked Kara out, she tried to tell him that

she already has a boyfriend and she loves him very much

(wo yo nan peng yo and wo hen ai ta),

but it turned out to be

"wo yao nan peng yo and wo ai ni

(I want a boyfriend and I love you.")
